Webster University’s New Music Ensemble seeks to teach students how to embrace new and different definitions of the term “music.” In this work, the composer tried to explore the concept of temporal phasing as demonstrated in the works of Steve Reich. Similarly, long tones and indeterminate notations allow the page to prescribe unique performances every time the work is realized.
