This work is a reflection on the Pulse Nightclub Shooting. The composer had made plans to attend the club that night, and by a coin toss did not go and was therefore not hurt. This work pushes against the boundaries of choral capabilities. It is a massive piece, and should be performed in the context of a serious, thought-provoking program. With the audience joining the choir in singing at the end, this piece builds community and seeks to bring light out of the dark of tragedy.
